Key Technologies

1. Material Sourcing:

   • Recycled Paper and Wood Fibers:
     • The primary materials used for paper pulp cups are recycled paper and wood fibers. Sourcing these materials sustainably helps reduce environmental impact.

2. Pulping Process:

   • Mechanical and Chemical Pulping:
     • Raw materials are processed through mechanical or chemical methods to separate fibers. Chemical pulping usually results in higher quality fibers, while mechanical pulping is more energy-efficient.
   • De-inking:
     • If recycled paper is used, the de-inking process removes inks and contaminants to ensure the quality of the final product.

3. Molding Process:

   • Molded Pulp Technology:
     • The processed pulp is mixed with water to create a slurry, which is then molded into the desired cup shape using molds. This process can be done through:
     • Forming: The slurry is poured into molds and allowed to drain and dry.
     • Compression Molding: The pulp is formed under pressure to create a denser and more durable product.

4. Drying and Finishing:

   • Drying:
     • The molded cups are dried using heat or air drying methods to remove excess moisture and achieve the desired strength.
   • Coating (Optional):
     • Some cups may receive a biodegradable coating to enhance barrier properties against liquids and grease, improving performance for hot and cold beverages.

5. Quality Control:

   • Testing:
     • Finished products undergo rigorous testing for strength, leak resistance, and biodegradability to ensure they meet industry standards.
